Thursday Five :)

Today I'm participating in Keely's Thursday Five!

The whole idea is to take a moment to list five things that have made us either...Happy, Grateful, Joyful, Elated, Appreciative, or all of the above this week! I think I can handle this. :)

1. My brother-in-law, Ryan, has been visiting since last Thursday! He's always lots of fun to have around and is helpful with my little one. Gracie adores him, so it most definitely makes me Happy to see how happy he makes her!

2. I spent time with a good friend on Monday. We did a little shopping, had a little lunch, and did lots of talking! Seeing her made me feel very Joyful, and also very Grateful for her friendship and the other amazing friendships I have. :)

3. Sean was off yesterday! I was quite Elated when I found out he was planning on taking a vacation day to spend with us. We took an early morning trip to the zoo, then came home and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon and evening. It was a nice way to break up my week!

4. This afternoon, Gracie and I are having a playdate! My best friend from middle school and high school, Danyell, is bringing her son over to play with Gracie. :) Gaige is a few years older than her, but they still play really well together! Either way, it gives Danyell and I a chance to sit back and catch up.

5. I woke up every day this week with my husband beside me and my daughter healthy and happy in the room across the hall. My family makes me so very Happy, Grateful, Joyful, Elated, and Appreciative every single day!

This was fun! If you'd like to join in, visit Keely and link up!

Day 249...

Gracie's Uncle Ryan picked out this dress for her! He is a Carolina fan and has been teaching her to say "Go Tarheels" all day! Haha! Sean and I are Florida State Seminole fans...but I cannot deny that Gracie is a Carolina Girl! :)

Day 248...

This morning, after accidentally letting a yellow jacket in the house and leaving Ryan to deal with that minor problem, Gracie and I drove about an hour away to meet a good friend of mine. I've written a post about her before, and I had been looking forward to this get-together for weeks! We met for lunch and shopping, which always makes for a great afternoon! Gracie was in a great mood for the rest of the evening, despite only getting a 30 minute nap in the car.

I wanted to share a few more pictures from our Easter weekend! We packed a lot into 3 days! It was a beautiful weekend and we had so much fun celebrating Gracie's 2nd Easter. :)

On Saturday we invited Nana and Grandpa over for lunch. We also dyed Easter eggs! Ryan was with us last year for Gracie's first Easter, but Sean was working and wasn't able to dye Easter eggs with us. This year he made an extra special egg for Gracie. He drew Cuddles on one with the wax crayon and she knew exactly who it was when we showed her!

Later that afternoon we spent some time outside and watched Gracie play with her sand and water table. It was the first time we've put sand in it. She had a lot of fun shoveling the sand onto the ground and throwing handfuls of it at the dog, covering herself in the process! Needless to say, we stripped her down outside and rinsed her off with the water hose before taking her in for a bath!

Easter Sunday ~ The Easter Bunny was here! Gracie found a bathing suit and cover-up, food for her kitchen, and some candy in her basket!

"It's a ball!" It's actually a wooden egg with a face. I was able to convince her not to throw it!

Sunday morning we got dressed up and ready for church. The service was wonderful and Gracie had no problem staying in her Sunday School class (something I'm always nervous about...we've had a few rough mornings). Memaw (Sean's mom) gave Gracie her pinwheel, Easter hat, and purse! We put the pinwheel in the flower bed at the mailbox.

Easter Egg Hunt and more fun at Great-Grandma Linda's!

Gracie loved this! I was a little nervous at first (that little car moved fast!), but she kept wanting to ride "again"! It really was a wonderful weekend!

Day 245...

Zoo Trip!

It was a hot day, but we had a great time visiting the zoo this afternoon. Sean's little brother, Ryan, is staying with us during his Spring Break, so he was able to join us! :)
